Marcel Dettmann remixes Tamburi Neri for Danza Tribale
Adiel’s Danza Tribale imprint has announced the ninth release in their catalogue: a double EP from electronic duo Tamburi Neri backed up by several reinterpretations from Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann.
Titled ‘Urlo’, the release explores different textures, seeing the pair experiment with analog and percussive elements, to create a synergy between the two. Made up of deconstructed vocal samples, layers of drone and deep, rhythmic loops, the four original tracks are bolstered by Dettmann’s remixes which move from signature techno, to playful grooves, driving rhythms and melancholic atmospheres.
Dettmann’s involvement in the release came via Danza Tribale label boss Adiel, who has had a long term professional relationship with the Berlin producer for many years — Dettmann has supported Adiel during her rise, asking her to play at events like the Bad Manners showcases, Berghain/Panorama Bar weekends and Draaimolen Festival.
Tamburi Neri are Milanese production partners Claudio Brioschi and Andrea Barbieri who have previously released music on Optimo Music, Ivan Smagghe’s Les Disques De La Mort and Worst Records, the latter in collaboration with Japanese vocalist Hiroko.
