Video Premiere: Phil Kieran – Strike The Match

This month marks the release of a new album from Belfast producer and DJ Phil Kieran, an artist who is well versed in creating music of cinematic proportions. His new record is titled ‘The Strand Cinema’ and is being self released – featuring a collection of tracks which could be described as a hybrid of symphonic electronica, komische or experimental mood music.

Over the years Phil’s music has been met with critical acclaim, most recently his music has featured in Donald Glover’s ‘Swarm’ television series.

This album see’s Phil embark on an ambitious series of collaborations. A blend of both natural and machine based sound is a feature of the entire album and A/V show which Phil created with 11 visual artists from the worlds of film, animation, architecture, computer science, generative art and contemporary dance. They have interpreted the music into visual art pieces to explore the balance between nature and technology.
