Video Premiere: Christoph De Babalon – The Upper Hand
A new EP from a masterful producer on Super Hexagon records.
Christoph De Babalon is a singular producer who has consistently released music which decimates and damages the preconceptions of genre and style.
His music is ominous, threatening and enticing with prominent appearances on the likes of A Colourful Storm and AD93.
His latest EP comes in the form of an off piste release via Super Hexagon which see’s him take a left turn from the fast paced breaks and jungle inspired music for which he is perhaps best know.
This one still maintains the same poignant sense of doom but at a level more inspired by UK bass and downtempo.
The label themselves have described it as a release which “breaks new ground” and we agree.
‘The Upper Hand’ is a track taken from the release and is paired alongside delicately crafted visuals which reflect the tone.
