Premiere: uh – humanus
The South London sibling duo share the title track from their debut album on PRAH Recordings.
The houses began to evaporate as the boat drifted further from the shore; each one reduced to a tiny dot before vanishing completely from the coastline. The wind and the sails would be their only friends for the foreseeable, there would be no signs of dry land or human interaction, only the two of them roaming wherever the waves decided to take them. They’d experience a sense of freedom that they’d never thought possible before, and better still, when it ended would be completely up to them…
We’ve written about uh before. They appeared in our ‘Best of 2022’ list after we caught them playing live a couple of times in the capital last year. Now they’re translating that electric energy from the stage to their debut album, humanus, which finds its place on PRAH Recordings catalogue.
The sibling duo, comprised of Dominic and Fionnuala Kennedy, blend their arsenal of analogue synths with Fionnuala’s captivating (and at times warped) vocals, to create theatrical, frenetic and urgent electronics that blur the lines between synth-pop, acid, electro and tough hardware jams.
humanus will be released on 28th April on PRAH Recordings.
