Premiere: Pro.tone – Twiddle
First day on the job and he’d been thrown in at the deep end. Left to his own devices to figure out the what’s and the hows. Perhaps he’d over egged himself on the job application a little; he might not have got the role had he not. Perplexed, he hovered over the control desk looking at the vast array of buttons and knobs before him. Trial and error it would have to be.
Mexico City’s Demian Lera is the man behind Pro.tone who, following previous outings on the likes of Jelly Bean Farm, Simply Deep and Sapyens, now makes his debut on Dissident Sound. Zero Day Attack’s four tracks bring together elements of UK Techno and leftfield bass, using chopped up vocals, off-kilter sounds and rolling grooves to create a fresh, innovative take on the underground UK sound.
