Premiere: Monophonik – Tabalchi
Reel Long Overdub welcome two artists from New Delhi and Naples for their first vinyl release.
The temperature had dropped considerably, frost had began to form on the windows and the sun had already started setting beyond the horizon. He’d always preferred the winter months; the way the night drew in early enveloping the world in its darkness and the feeling of comfort this roused within him. While others pined for longer days and the sunshine hitting their skin, he dreamed of hibernating in the shadows, out of sight and away from the world.
Reel Long Overdub started life in 2020 as a space for Leeds-to-London party crew Brudenell Groove to platform music from friends and family. After releasing four VAs with their nearest and dearest, as well as a debut full length from local duo SAH, the label are now welcoming friends from overseas for their first ever vinyl release. Custom made for the dance floor, Cherry-picked calls on New Delhi producer Monophonik and Naples’ Diastema – both of whom featured on RLO’s VA series – to showcase their shared knack for exploring the darker realms of techno and breaks.
Cherry-picked is out on 14th January via Reel Long Overdub.
