Premiere: Mattias De Craene – Away
Deep pensive textures on VIERNULVIER.
The clouds floated softly on by. It were as if the storm which had come before had simply never happened but for the chaos and wreckage which it had left in its wake.
It’s funny how transient nature could be. One minute something was here, present and destructive. The next it was very much not, very much away.
The skies would be brighter soon, the rebuild down beneath would commence and everything would return to as it was. All that was left now of that night were the memories, for they too could not float and disappear like clouds.
Mattias De Craene is set to release an album comprised of tape loops, grainy textures and mesmerizing saxophone. It’s deeply pensive, thoughtful and dramatic. Layers upon layers of textures and sound infusions create new landscapes which are reminiscent of places not yet visited.
The release is forthcoming on VIERNULVIER Records.
