Premiere: Marlene – Angeldust Incl. (Lutto Lento Strappalacrimemix)
“First we did drug the angels, then the angels did not drug us. Angeldust made us pray to the devils, but the devils forgot to pray for us.”
Since launching their label last year King of Kong label bosses Anton Klint, Artur8 and Edvin E have welcomed Newborn Jr., Das Komplex, Wolfram and DJ Hell to the label. Now they embark on something a little different for their fifth release, a 14-track compilation titled Interlocal made up of fresh tracks from friends, both new and returning.
Heralding the release is ‘Angeldust Incl.’ – a special track that combines lyrics from the prolific German filmmaker Klaus Lemke with mesmerising ska-meets-cabaret-at-the-disco music produced by Munich based Jonas Imbery/Telonius, founder of Gomma Records, and sang by Jonas’s daughter, Marlene, and Mike Antoine. To celebrate Lemke’s 80th birthday, Young Turks affiliate and techno experimentalist Lutto Lento twists the original into a deep, dreamy dancehall-influenced remix.
