Premiere: Josh Caffe – Lesson #1 (Violet Remix)
Champagne flowed and glasses clinked – it was a soiree like no other, a gathering of the most fabulous people in the city. Anybody who was anybody was in attendance. Faces milled about the place, laughing and joking, while others stood gauging their surroundings, working out who was worth their time. This was a lesson in living but you had to follow the rules…
Queer London party Love Child have launched their new label, with the inaugural release coming from co-founder and Paranoid London frontman Josh Caffe. The vocalist and producer has been running the party in East London alongside WYS!'s Jacob Husely since 2018, which will now extend to a label to provide a platform for pioneering queer artists.
The first release is a slice of machine soul peppered with Josh's rich vocals and is backed up by two remixes: the first from local hero and Magical Real's Jaye Ward and the second from Naive and Mina boss Violet. For every release Love Child will also donate a percentage of the profits to an LGBTQ charity starting with homeless and crisis shelter The Outside Project.
