Premiere: Formally Unknown – Off Peak

Following on from the Aset Forever EP by label bosses Dusky, the next release on 17 Steps comes courtesy of Russian duo Formally Unknown, who've previously appeared on Moscow's Capital Bass and their own Bass Oddity imprint. Out 19th October, the Off Peak EP exists somewhere near the intersection between Detroit techno, UK bass weight and the CoOp scene.

We're very happy to be premiering the title track, which mixes twitchy bleeps and thunderous bass pulses with splintered percussion and a butter-smooth breakdown. So deep you'd need a submarine to even catch a glimpse. Listen below:
