Premiere: Flug 8 – Biotech [Ransom Note Records]

Lead single from Flug 8’s upcoming Skynet LP releasing in April…
There was a guy called Flug 8, Who lived in a minimalist state,
With his electronic noise, And pandemic-born toys, While his Herrmann-esque mind did create!
He crafted a Biotech sound so queer, That it made all the listeners fear,
On Ransom Note Records, His fourth album beckoned, With contradictions uncommonly clear!
“Oh! societal tensions!” he’d cry, As his synthesizers blinked and sighed,
“Eight tracks I’ve composed, While thoroughly enclosed, In my studio where melodies fly!”
Daniel Herrmann, that curious soul, With equipment both ancient and droll,
Made sounds that were manic, Throughout the pandemic, Till his Biotech single made all minds unroll!
Our good friend Daniel Herrmann, better known as Flug 8 (and also of Music To Watch Seeds Grow By artwork fame), announces his fourth album on Ransom Note Records with new single, Biotech – a minimalist electronic meditation on societal contradictions created during the pandemic era.
An entrancing acid techno anthem featuring guest vocals from Hans Trapp. Looping 303 motifs & resonant drones work hand in hand with driving percs & filtered basslines to showcase the stripped-back approach taken to the production of Skynet, with only a drum machine & analog synth, focusing first on the bare essentials.
