Premiere: Castel – Me & You
Walking along the tired old coastal path there was little sign that man had ever tread this way much before. The sand billowed beneath their feet as they marched amidst the trees and watched as lizards darted beneath the rocks and stones around them. This path had been there for hundreds of years before but looked relatively untouched and fresh in comparison to the brittle concrete and roughened streets back home. Old brickwork would occasionally prop a broken footledge or a fallen stone but there was no other sign of human civilization otherwise.
Echovolt seems to have a habit of redicovering music thought previously lost to the depths of time, the latest is an abstract electronic ep from Castel which sounds as relevant in the present as it did when first recored some twenty years ago. That says something.
