Premiere: Black Cab – Victorious
"The time is the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympic games, where systematically doped up East Germans scooped the medals and Australia went home without a gold" not that they're bitter! "East German shot put gold medallist Andreas Krieger was so steroid enhanced she became a he in 1997."
Melbourne's Black Cab like a good story with both winners and losers. After four years, three producers, four studios and fourteen tracks, they're back with their fourth studio album, Games Of The XXI Olympiad. The album, their first in 5 years, takes the group further into electronic realms. Long-time Cab producer Woody Annison, with additional production by Simon Polinski and ex-Death In Vegas member Tim Holmes.
We're prepared to admit we'd never heard of Black Cab… but discovery is a great thing and when this little beauty landed in our laps via a friend our ears pricked up. We're premiering the excellent Victorious from the album.
