Premiere: Bambounou – Solal
Elkka’s Femme Culture label return with a sprawling compilation in aid of U.N. Women.
It’s been two years since Elkka’s femme culture collective and record label released a chapter in their flagship HeForShe compilation series into the world.
After three volumes that have featured music from the likes of DJ Python, Mr. Mitch and Badsista, all in aid of UN Women, the imprint makes a return for instalment number four.
She enlists the help of artists from across the world, both established and rising, including Bambounou, mortar, SUCHI and Breaka for a 19-track strong release that touches on leftfield techno, UK bass and breakbeat.
Funds raised will be donated to UN Women and split equally between their Safe Spaces Now programme (which looks to create safe public spaces for all women and girls) and their Ukrainian relief efforts – delivering on the ground for women and those at risk.
HeForShe Vol. 4 will be out on 15th April.
