First Listen: Piano Interrupted – Emoticon (Floex Remix)
Anglo / French duo Piano Interrupted (Tom Hodge and Franz Kirmann) are a musical entity in "continuous reinvention, like a never-ending “mise en abyme".
They've invited a handful of artists and producers from Denovali Records' to reinterpret “The Unified Field”, and we're offering the first listen of the Floex rework. Oscillating between dub, techno, abstract hip hop, post-classical this interpretation sheds new light on the infinite directions that Piano Interrupted's intricate compositions can be taken.
Piano Interrupted's The Unified Field Reconstructed is out on 27th March via Denovali.
The duo's 3rd album is pencilled for later this year and is based on recordings in Senegal (where Franz spent his childhood) earlier this year.
