Belgian producer BOLT RUIN releases his EP “False Awakening Loops” on September 22, 2023. The EP, his second on the Infinite Machine label, delves into his experiences with parasomnia, crafting an unsettling ambient soundscape.

We’re premiering the lead single “Skevr” featuring Kenyan producer KMRU, the EP exploring dreamlike states and the blurred lines between reality and the subconscious. Blending cinematic soundscapes, distorted field recordings, and industrial rhythms the release will be available on cassette, Bandcamp, and digital platforms.

About the self-conceived video BOLT RUIN made: “For the video I’ve looped old stock footage as a repeated distorted memory. This footage feels like parallel warm vacation home videos, including the uneasy feeling when you think back of the original experience.”
