Influences: Justine Forever
Justine Forever‘s music seeks to bridge the gap between her love of cold wave & punk and the abandonment she finds on the dance floor.
The French artist blends sleazy, low-slung electronica and propulsive techno rhythms with these formative influences and her distinctive seductive vocals, which have since become her signature across releases for the likes of Ombra Internatonal, Lumière Noire, Her Majesty’s Ship and her own Club Forever label.
Our label offshoot Human Endeavour have recently welcomed her to the family for their sixth release, ‘Out Of The Blue‘, which is made up of three propulsive, tripped-out cuts, each one more intoxicating than the last.
For the first time since the label’s inception, they’ve brought on board two remixers to round off the release, French producer Cate Hortl and Mexican artist Undefined Pattern who add a cocktail of dark pop and pounding techno energy to their reinterpretations.
Ahead of the release dropping next week, Justine shares some of her favourite sounds and the artists who’ve inspired her own approach to music-making.
