Yamaneko Returns To Local Action With New Ep ‘Afterglow’

Yamaneko returns to Local Action on 30th August with his new EP Afterglow! Described as "his darkest, fullest release to date… it finds him shredding, distorting and reversing trance signifiers into brutal, broken compositions, honing in on the most unhinged aspects of euphoria."

Since breaking through with his 2014 debut album Pixel Wave Embrace, Yamaneko has been at the centre of a loose group of underground producers similarly drawing from genres such as new age, ambient, video game OSTs and UK bass music. Afterglow follows his 2017 mini-LP Spa Commissions which was born after he was invited to create music for a series of European spas.

The new release coincides with Yamaneko's first ever string of live AV shows, including appearances at Nyege Nyege Festival [Uganda] and Insomnia Festival [Norway], as well as a date at his "spiritual litter tray" of Rye Wax on 19th September, tickets for which are available here.
