Viscera Transmissions release Latrec’s debut EP
Viscera Transmissions have released Latrec’s debut EP featuring remixes from The W.C. and Remotif.
The debut EP from Latrec sees psychedelic dance technicians – Andy Bainbridge and Serious Hots – explore the recesses of the weird space between house and techno for the second physical release on Viscera Transmissions. The original ‘Kutika’ is a pocket calculator gone rogue, blending an electrified MPC-style jam on the beat with dubbed-out vocal samples and an oddly resonant bass synth, and a late night facing dub rework for A2.
Paranoid London member Quinn Whalley crops up on the B-side, together with Viscera’s own Matt Cowell under the name The W.C. for a wonky 4am synthesiser workout. Remotif, meanwhile, brings the power with a throbbing trance / techno lovechild on the B2.
To celebrate the release, Viscera will be hosting an instore knees-up at Kristina Records 194 Well St, London, E9 6QT, with Andy Bainbridge, Serious Hots and Johnny Aux on the 28th April from 6:30pm if you’d like to grab a copy fresh off the press.
