Violet, Bawrut & more feature on Insult to Injury’s new remix EP

Ransom Note offshoot Insult To Injury are gearing up for the release of their second Corpus VA.

Unlike the first volume which featured new music from old friends, the second various artists EP revisits label cuts, past and present, and invites artists to put a new spin on them.

Mainly focusing on remixes from early releases, aside from a rework of a brand new track from label boss Timothy Clerkin, the release sees Berlin’s Shokh, Naïve records boss Violet, label mate Bawrut and 90s Wax head honcho Younger Than Me.

It opens with a shadowy remix of Clerkin’s ‘Primary Function’, courtesy of Shokh, before Violet shares a skippy bass take of Apollo View’s ‘II’. Next up Bawrut gets his hands on ‘False Flag’, a track from Dark Circles, then Younger Than Me closes out proceedings with a rave spin on Shun’s ‘I’ll Never Reach Your Level’.
