Trashmouth Records announce 10 year anniversary remix album
Trashmouth Records are celebrating their 10 year anniversary with a remix album of some of the label’s favourite tracks from their extended family of artists.
The remixes, which feature reworks of songs from Warmduscher, Fat White Family, Lee Scratch Perry and Madonnatron, were crafted by label bosses brothers Liam & Luke May and will be accompanied by a visual history of the label through the vinyl artwork, which gathers photos of the now legendary Trashmouth nights at the Brixton Windmill.
Trashmouth Records are the original instigators of the “South London Scene”, having discovered and released debut LPs from the likes of Fat White Family, Warmduscher, Meatraffle, Madonnatron and more. The label have put out records by bands that no one else would touch with a 10-foot pole and have not only lived to tell the tale, but proved to have been visionary in their blind faith.
In the words of Warmduscher frontman Clams Baker, “When I think of the South London music-scene, I immediately think Windmill, Fat White Family, and Trashmouth Records, then I forget what I was thinking about thanks to the last 10 years they are celebrating! Very blessed and honoured to be a part of it. Long live the hustle, I can’t wait to see what they think of next.“
