Transgressive Celebrate Anniversary With Huge Give Away

Transgressive Records are set to celebrate 10 years of putting out the finest in leftfield goodness with a bumper give away. Starting September 1st, the label is giving away a free track a day via their website, with downloads coming from  At The Drive-In, Neon Indian, Flume, The Shins, Foals, The Antlers, Alvvays, and Brian Eno and Daamon Albarn's Africa Express collaboration. The tracks will be revealed at 10am daily over at www.transgressiverecords.com – today they've stuck up some buzzing 8 bit drama from Flume.

Transgressive has done pretty well for an indie started by 2 teenagers – going from signing Bloc Party's first single to scoring 3 Mercury nominations in 9 years and selling millions of records worldwide. The celebrations of a decade in the game will conclude with Transgressive’s big Birthday show at London’s Barbican Centre on Sept 30^th.  The show will be compered by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and welcomes label favourites Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit, Mystery Jets, Marika Hackman and Dry The River playing live with further guests.
