Stream: The Maghreban – Now Easy

Versatile stalwart The Maghreban changes tack with Now Easy, an EP marking his return to Zoot and the influences of his youth. Echoing dub samples and busy, splashy cymbals throw us hints of a jungle upbringing in the opening title track, followed closely with sassy horns punctuating a loose, near hip-hop vibe in 'Hi Top'. Think Kid 'n Play with a Middle Eastern hue. 'Not Good' is an shady sideways glance at piano house and the record rounds off with a 142 Dub of Now Easy with a low-slung dub weight throwing a ton behind the beat.
