Sound System Culture Exhibition Comes To London
An exhibition dedicated to London's rich history of reggae soundsytems is coming to Notting Hill (where else?) as part of a national tour to document and celebrate the history of soundsystem culture across the UK (previously showing in Bristol and Birmingham).
The exhibition – comprised of photographs, archive film footage and other memorabilia- offers visitors a chance to interact with a vintage style system custom built for the project.
Taking place from the 5th-17th of January, the project culminates in live event ska2ROOTS on Saturday 30th January, featuring legendary soundsystem Sir Coxsone Outernational and a guest appearance from renknowned reggae musician and producer Dennis Bovell.
Sound System Culture takes place at The Tabernacle, Notting Hill from 5-17 January 2016 – Facebook event
