Sonar Reykjavic 2016 Announce Second Wave Of Acts
The chilly arm of Sonar's sprawling musical tentacles rests annually in Iceland, taking a firm grasp of the Harpa Concert Hall from 18th-20th February next year.
2016's edition will see the likes of extrovert electro fizzer Boys Noize line up alongside the slightly more thoughtful Floating Points, and perhaps more ominous Hessle boss Ben UFO. Ellen Allien, Angel Haze and Lone also fill out the bill with a host of unfamiliar but undoubtably tenable electronic musicians – Bjarki, apparently the protege of Nina Kravis, returns to the festival, Courtesy, 'Copenhagen's 4×4 techno queen', and some other more local names (GKR, Karó, DJ Katla, Tandri and Julia Ruslanova along with Intr0beatz will all be representing for Iceland).
To be fair, if you think the choice acts are a little thin on the ground, there's bound to be some big names on the way – have a look at last year's lineup here if you need convincing.
You can get a three day pass for a mere €127, and Icelandair are offering travel packages here.
