Power Vacuum’s Bintus Launches Inversions Label And Compilation Ep
You know we love Milo Smee, right? The former Chrome Hoof drummer has made a whole host of bangers under his Kruton and Bintus guises, veering from 'orrible industrial, to cosmic post punk, to gurgling acid bombs. Now Smee has teamed up with Thomas Franklin to launch a new label; Inversions.
The first release on the label is a 12” compilation, Inversions 001, due out September 12th. The EP features five tracks from Cavern of Anti-Matter (project of Stereolab’s Tim Gane), Fupper, Apothéose de la Trahison and two collaborative projects featuring Milo – Booze and Clean & Jerk – the latter of which is a collaboration between Inversions’s two founders. Sound wise, expect the label to follow on from Power Vacuum in putting out percussive machine jams, albeit with a more live played feel. The Smee/ Franklin duo have put together a label preview mix – give it a listen below.
