Plaid, FUMU and Tolouse Low Trax remix Stubborn Heart

Plaid, FUMU and Tolouse Low Trax are first up in Stubborn Heart’s remix series, ‘Out Of Our Hands’.

Each artist has put their own spin on tracks from the electro-soul duo’s album Made Of Static, released last June on One Little Independent Records.

Warp alumni Plaid kick things off with their haunting take on ‘Talking Gold’ followed by Manchester producer FUMU’s industrial flip on ‘Proves To Be’ and rounded off with Salon des Amateurs resident Tolouse Low Trax’s signature dub stylings on ‘Everything Matters’.

Made Of Static marked the duo’s first new music in eight years following their acclaimed self-titled debut. The album and this accompanying remix package set the course for the pair’s reunion with the promise of more new music in the future.

Stubborn Heart are producers and songwriters Luca Santucci and Ben Fitzgerald. Separately the pair have notched up their fair share of accolades: Santucci’s writing and vocal credits include XL and Warp signee Leila Arab, Plaid, Riton and Soulwax, while Fitzgerald has programmed various styles of music for artists and producers from around the world.
