Piry Reis self titled LP to be reissued

The acclaimed Brazilian musician recently had a track featured on Music From Memory’s celebrated compilation ‘Outro Tempo’. Now label affiliate Boris has announced his own new creative venture, a label which will debut with the release of the self titled album by Piry Reis himself. Records We Release is a new imprint designed to showcase rarities and music thought to be otherwise lost.

The label describe the reissue as follows:

“After playing for several years with Egberto Gismonti group and other prominent Brazilian acts, Piry decided to record this album which was originally released in 1980 featuring a special guest appearance by Egberto Gismonti. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the album, it is remastered, repackaged and re-issued. It is self-released by the artist with a little help from friends at Records We Release.”
