Matthew Herbert readies new EP for Foom

The acclaimed producer and figurehead for contemporary electronic music has announced his first outing on the label in the form of an EP called "The Recording". The release was created across a one week period in front of a live audience in Berlin and the results are splattered across two sides of a 12" EP which will be available from the 22nd of November on both vinyl and digital. 

This is the first time that the producer has released his own music on Ben Freeney's label Foom, upon which he has previously remixed material. This EP was "created from start to finish during a week-long residency at the Tischlerei Deutsche Oper, all the sounds used were recorded during the course of the residency."
