Lucky Mereki’s 1991 album to be reissued
‘You Got Me Dancing’ is being reissued by Warm and will be available in October later this year having originally been released in 1991.
The record has been remastered with the reissue having come some thirty years prior to its first outing. Drawing upon influences from Bubblegum Pop, Afro Boogie, Kwaito, House & Pantsula the record is still just as relevant in the present as it was upon release many decades ago.
Lucky Mereki is still making music and has been a prominent figure in the evolution of music in the townships of South Africa having emerged in the late 80’s and 90’s, producing and creating music designed to shape a new future in the aftermath of apartheid.
