Kyiv’s 20ft Radio launch week-long radio fundraiser ‘Grains of Peace’
Kyiv-based radio station 20ft Radio launch ‘Grains of Peace‘ to raise money for Ukrainians affected by the war.
Taking place between 28th March and 3rd April, the week-long fundraiser will broadcast peaceful and uplifting shows from Ukrainian and international DJs, with 100% of donations made being split between NBU Fundraising for Humanitarian Assistance, Destroyed Property and Infrastructure Restoration Fund and to the station’s friends who are volunteering right now in Kyiv and other territories.
The first day of broadcasting will feature a programme of shows from Ukrainian artists of present and past, including Anthony Junkoid, Nikolaienko (Muscut), Mlin Patz, Bryozone, DJ Snork, Andrey Kostyukov, Dubmasta, Vvanya Samokrutkin (СИСТЕМА). Then from Tuesday onwards, the station will broadcast shows from international guests such as Biosphere, RAMZi, Aleksi Perala, Call Super, Elena Colombi, Heap, Yu Su, Legowelt, DJ soFa, Markey Funk and others, with many still to be announced.
A message from 20ft Radio reads: “Except guns and bombs, the main weapons of the enemy are fear and anxiety. They poison our thoughts, destroy our strength and oppress our hearts. We believe that music is an instrument of peace, a medicine, which power can be felt by everyone and can help to find faith, hope and peace in this world again. We invite artists and music lovers from all over the world to sow Grains of Peace to support the spirit of our country, fill souls with light and fill the future with meaning. The stream will begin at 12:00 (Kyiv GMT +2) on Monday 28th March. 20ft Radio are urging people to share the broadcast and its message on the day to spread the word far and wide.
