Kalahari Oyster Cult announce 4 LP box set compilation to mark their six year anniversary
The Amsterdam-based label celebrates this label milestone with a sprawling 4 LP box set compilation.
The Chants Of the Holy Oyster features a host of label mainstays as well as new guests and some previously unreleased tracks from the 90s.
Returning faces include Maara, Roza Terenzi, Eversines, Sohrab, Sansibar and many more who’ve helped to cultivate the Kalahari sound, alongside old tracks from the likes of Raymond Castoldi and Syzygy.
Kalahari Oyster Cult is run by Colin Volvert AKA Rey Colino and has been home to artists exploring the realms of 90s-inspired sounds, old school electro and strains of progressive trance. On top of its growing roster of contemporary producers, the label also dives into the 90s to compile, re-release and reissue forgotten gems. The label extended to include a website, vinyl distribution service and production company, One Eye Witness, which works with labels like Malka Tuti, Brutaż, Die Orakel, Radiant Love and many more.
