FFT signs to Numbers for new EP and upcoming album
The Bristolian producer unveils new material ahead of a forthcoming album in 2022.
Josh Thompson has released music across a number of labels including The Trilogy Tapes, Low End Activist’s Bruk Records, his own Super Hexagon imprint and more. This will be the first time that he features on prominent, longstanding Glaswegian record label Numbers.
His first EP for the record label features three tracks which make up “Disturb Roqe” – a record which showcases his interest in exploring bass frequencies, abstract space and broken beats.
FFT is short for Fast Fourier Transform, a process by which signals can be converted from temporal or spatial to frequency domains, or in the other direction.
News of the record began to surface online yesterday with announcements being teased online following the emergence of a new release called “Be Little Me”, Akiko Haruna’s debut EP on Numbers. This will be the next release to follow on the label which has been responsible for the release of music by the likes of SOPHIE, Lanark Artefax, Dj Deeon, Lory D and many more.
The record will be available from the 3rd of December.
