Boxed have spent the last year carving out a niche for themselves in a London club scene swamped with identikit house nights. Focusing on deep, emotional instrumental grime, the Boxed residents Mr Mitch, Logos and Oil Gang have been delving deep into uncharted electronic waters, teaming flatlining rhythms with massive snare hits and heartbroken melodies to create an introspective, mournful sound that seems particularly suited to London's grey sprawl.
