Bandcamp announce that all profits from sales this Friday will go directly to artists
In light of COVID-19's detrimental effect on the music community, tomorrow, Friday 20th March, all profits from sales through Bandcamp will go directly to artists.
Bandcamp have announced they will be waiving their revenue share of sales on the platform from midnight to midnight (PST) to rally the music community to support artists and put much needed money into their pockets.
The effects of COVID-19 have heavily impacted the music and events industry, resulting in many artists and DJs having gigs and tours cancelled, with little other source of income to support them. During these testing times, initiatives and ideas like Bandcamp's are imperitive to help provide direct financial support to the many individuals and communities effected within our industry.
