Anna Lann and Pedro Martins contribute to first ever V/A EP on Insult to Injury
Ransom Note's little sister label Insult To Injury – helmed by Mr Timothy Clerkin – is set to release their first ever V/A EP, Corpus Vol 1.
Featuring track contributions from four friends, old and new, the label digs deep into their rawest rudiments of their sound to present a record that is a fittingly dark tribute in these strange times.
Ransom Note Records affiliate Anna Lann, who made an appearance on the label's first release in 2018, kicks off the EP with the haunting whisphered rhythms of 'Club Sandwich' before handing over to Karakter Records boss Pedro Martins for twinkling emotive electro that'll tug at your heartstrings.
The B-Side sees another previous ITI label mate Emmanuel Caurel back for another contribution, this time in the form of a textural rolling number that pays homage to Detroit. Closing out the release is the brooding electronics of 'Phosphorescent' from Aimes; think mid 2000s Berlin, think 90s acid and R&S, think brighter times ahead….
Corpus Vol 1 will be released on 1st May.
