Neoma B2B VXYX: The ‘Shine A Light On’ Mix
Two DJ’s from Glasgow hold no punches ahead of their set at Riverside Festival.
Glasgow has always been closely associated with techno – from the heady days of the 90’s through to the present, the city has always loved the harder side of the dance.
Nemoa and VXYX are two DJ’s emerging from the city’s underground presenting futuristic, fast paced, hard dance music with their own spin. They’ve each cut their teeth over the years running and dj’ing at parties across the city and have found a home at La Cheetah where VXYX launched a party called Eutony and Neoma plays as a resident.
Over the coming weeks we will spotlight a number of local artists from across the city who will be performing at Riverside Festival. Neoma and VXYX will play a special back to back set on the banks of the River Clyde and by the sounds of this mix it’s set to be a hard, relentless affair.
Just how we like it…
Listen and read the interview below:
Please introduce yourself…
We are Neoma & VXYX ☺
Who are you, where are you and what are you? What does your music sound like?
We’re both DJ’s based in Glasgow, VXYX runs Eutony in La Cheetah and Neoma is the main resident. The tunes we play are a fusion between mental, raw energy and being catapulted through space lol
Can you draw what you think it sounds like for us (an image from the old internet is acceptable)?

Where was the mix recorded?
In Neoma’s studio in Glasgow
What would be the ideal setting to listen to the mix?
When you want to party and up for a stomp/before going out to the club. Not for the faint of heart
What are you most looking forward to about playing together at Riverside Festival?
The first time we ever played together last year we realised we had so much fun and made our styles merge well together, we read each other’s energy and the crowd quite well too. So to have fun and to make others have a class time will be the best thing!
What’s more important, the track you start on or the track you end on?
Neoma – the ending track
VXYX – the starting track
What were the first and last records you bought?
Neoma – first record: Octave One – Blackwater, last record – Aisha: Energy
VXYX – first – randomer – Running Dry EP, last : Bad Vibes Records – The Anniversary EP (Dj Weirdo & Dj Sim)
Anything else we need to discuss?
You can catch us both playing in La Cheetah monthly and we have our first headlining b2b gig upcoming which is yet to be announced. Neoma also has new music being released this year so keep an eye out
