rRoxymore, Sybil & more take part in two-day spatial sound event ‘Sound II Light’
A two-day event in Leyton, organised by Sova Audio’s Sova Labs division, will explore spatial sound.
Sound II Light will take place on Friday 24th – Saturday 25th March at Patchworks, a creative space in Leyton, East London, and will showcase live music that has been designed especially for a 12-point Funktion-One sound system.
There will also be workshops, panel discussions and a site-specific A/V installation featuring work from rRoxymore, Sybil, Nexcyia and many more artists.
The event has been organised by the social impact division of Sova Audio, Sova Labs, who are focused on creating and delivering educational and cultural activities in sound.
Sova Audio Co-Founder Tzveti Tzerovska said, “Spatial audio allows artists to create works that draw the listener inside the piece. In this sense, you are not only a passive observer but you become a part of this sonic world as you move and interact with it in space. Speakers become instruments, sculpting the sound, advancing the experience to be as vivid as it is in real life.”
The event has been funded by the Waltham Forest Council Arts & Culture ‘Make It Happen’ grant.
