Junction 2 launches in new location with new artists and dates for 2022
The festival has been forced to reimagine itself for 2022 in the wake of the pandemic but the result is exciting.
Now taking place on the 18th and 19th of June this summer, new names unveiled include Maribou State, George FitzGerald, Mount Kimbie, Romy, TSHA, Ela Minus and Max Cooper amongst others.
The festival has been forced to adapt in the wake of the pandemic, with the usual Boston Manor Park location unavailable as a result of work delayed due to the pandemic, the festival will now take place at Trent Park for a special, one off edition alongside an all star cast of dj’s and musicians.
Will Harold, the festivals founder reflects on the trials and tribulations of the recent weeks but looks excitedly to a new opportunity.
“It has been quite a journey through COVID 19, to come through that and find Boston Manor Park is unavailable to us in 2022 was a real body blow. We are so disappointed as a team, but at the same time we have been feel honoured at the sheer volume of people who have waited patiently to see this epic line up, so the show must go on, and are determined that we will deliver this Festival in true J2 spirit to repay your support and loyalty.
We have worked in Trent park many times before so we know the space, its strengths and crucially that we can achieve great sound. After such a long wait, I’m excited to get back to doing what Junction 2 does best.”
The festival will run across the weekend with a packed line up featuring the likes of Peach, Hessle Audio, Eclair Fifi, Willow, Avalon Emerson, Blawan, Robert Hood and many more all scheduled to play.
