This Week… Lockdown Two Electric Avenue!
“Democracy is being allowed to vote for the candidate you dislike least.” – Robert Byrne
It’s usually right about now that I try to write something cynical and satirical, something attemptedly witty and crass. However, to be honest, this week I don’t really feel like like it. What with all the staying indoors, political unrest, widespread illness and economic uncertainty. I think there’s been enough chatter about all that stuff already so this week i’m going to focus my attention on something truly positive, something truly special which we can all be thankful for.
Mince Pies.
I bought twenty yesterday, I ate them all. Every single f**king one of them. I laughed, I cried, I went to the bathroom afterwards and felt delighted with the world. Life isn’t so bad when there’s a delicious rich fruit treat nestled in pastry to be eaten. Try it, I defy you to feel sad whilst eating a mince pie.
Anyway, it’s been a long week and i’m sure the last thing you want is this email, so here are some memes and sh*t I found on the internet and stuff.
