This Week… Horses & Board Games
"We suddenly saw how people reacted in the event of massive social upheaval, and the way that the little problems in your life don't go away. You don't stop being frightened of spiders just because the world's blown up." – Simon Pegg
"I don't normally cook, but if I did it probably would be beans, sausage, bacon and eggs." – Wayne Rooney
"I definitely feel I do have God in my corner." – Chuck Norris
Isolation is a funny sort of thing really, we as humans don't tend to respond well to loneliness. By nature we are a communicative bunch, a social race with kind hearts and good souls. That is when we aren't busy cancelling each other..
2019 was deemed to be the year of cancel culture, then 2020 came along and f**ked that right up didn't it. Football = cancelled. The pub = cancelled. Clubs = cancelled. Vakula = cancelled. Going round your nans for tea = cancelled. Have we gone too far? Probably not, we're only just getting started.
Anyway, at least the internet is alive and well in times of unprecedented uncertainty, anxiety and depression. It really is pretty bleak out there and all jokes aside, stay safe, look after your friends and family. Cancel them, it's for the best..
ELSEWHERE, the horses is on. Offering us the chance to spend money that we don't have on animals that we don't know jumping over some hedges. Over the years it has made for some interesting entertainment, it's not so much the races themselves but the sideline sports that we enjoy…
ANYWAY, here's some funnies…
