Luxury Flats Are Not The Answer
King's Cross residents could be cheated out of affordable homes because of a backtrack by property developer. Argent (the greedy and huge property developer) have demanded the council to let them rip up a promise to build social housing and build more posh flats instead, (because apparently, we don't have enough of that in London) despite a contract signed years ago.
But 38 Degrees have just started a campaign to force Argent to keep their promises and stick to their word. Hundreds have already signed, and a legal challenge has been launched too. If enough of us sign and share the petition quickly, it could be enough to pressure Argent into backing down, before they get too much bad press!
If you agree that more luxury flats aren't the answer to London’s housing crisis then you can sign their petition here.
