Xenz – Influences
Talented street artist Xenz painted his first piece at the age of just 14 in 1987 and doesn't seem to have wavered from his artistic ambitions for even a second since then. His art doesn't seem to quite fit under the term 'graffiti' and his landscape murals are exhibits of high quality art that is to be admired. He's been over in Barcelona showcasing some of his finest wares and will be there until the end of the month, be sure to catch him while you can. We asked him to tell us about some of the sounds that have influenced him the most and he duly delivered. Enjoy!
Xenz's exhibit The Moon On A Stick is running at Carrer de Radad in Barcelona until the end of the month, click here for more information.
I remember this song from a music lesson at my junior school, we were given sheets of music paper and told to draw what we heard. I started drawing these little people walking along like music notes into this monster’s mouth. Everyone in class came over to see what I was drawing and I think this was one of the first times I connected music to drawing and felt some kind of thrill from my imagination. I must have been about 7 years old.
