Sports Banger to Kurate the K Foundation/K2 Plant Hire LTD People’s Day of Death 2024

It’s been announced that Sports Banger will be kurating this year’s K Foundation / K2 Plant Hire LTD. Day of Death 2024 the annual cermony of creating a pyramid that “contains a small portion of a person’s cremated remains” on the 23rd November each year.

The People’s Pyramid is a new monument and form of memorialisation created by architects of MuMufication and ‘undertakers’ Callender, Phillips and Jimmy Cauty & Bill Drummond formerly of the KLF now the fabled K Foundation and K2 Plant Hire limited.

The Mumufication website explains about the process:

“The People’s Pyramid will be a solid brick monument made of 34,592 Bricks of Mu. Each brick contains a small portion of a person’s cremated remains.

MuMufication is a new form of memorialisation, both a funeral ceremony and a celebration of life, for like-minded people irrespective of creed or background.

Having a small portion of cremated human remains fired into a Brick of Mu and laid in the People’s Pyramid is known as MuMufication.”

New Bricks of Mu are ceremonially laid on the 23rd November each year and this year’s day will be curated by Sports Banger.

It continues:

“The final location for the People’s Pyramid is yet to be found.

The Bricks of Mu laid so far rest on the People’s Pyramid Foundation Stone, quarried locally from Liverpool, and kept inside a shipping container.”

Sports Banger will also be building a range of “K2 Klobber to feature in the bricklaying ceremony”.

DEADLINE FOR BRICK OF MU SUBMISSION: 23rd September 2024

MuMufication introduces a unique form of memorialization, allowing individuals to incorporate a small portion of cremated remains into a “Brick of Mu,” which is then placed in the People’s Pyramid. Celebrated annually on November 23rd, the Toxteth Day of the Dead, this event honors the deceased by adding new bricks to the pyramid.
