Radio Radio launch new radio station, RRFM, in Amsterdam
Amsterdam club Radio Radio have launched RRFM, a new independent radio station broadcasting from the existing venue in Westerpark.
The venue and station, which is being powered by WeTransfer, will work closely with DJ and United Identities label boss Carista as their head of music and programming, which will feature shows from local favourites like Tom Trago, Mark Knekelhuis, Suze Ijó and Jasmín, as well as guests from abroad including John Talabot, DJ Tennis and Russell EL Butler.
Speaing about the launch, co-founder Vincent ‘Venz’ Reinders said, “After dozens of streams inside Radio Radio it was time for us to go all in on radio. Amsterdam needs a DJ community station again. I’m delighted to work together with my long time friend Carista on the station and I’m thankful that Wetransfer backs our dream. We will also try to innovate visually in regards to the streaming and building a music platform around the station.”
RRFM is the brainchild of Radio Radio founders Vincent Reinders (ex-22tracks) and Vincent Lindeboom (owner of digital studio Next Empire).
