Floating Cinema Set To Go Extra-Terrestrial
For anyo of you that enjoy any combination of boats, films and aliens, Floating Cinema will probably be the perfect outing for you this summer. The Floating Cinema: Extra – Terrestrial is being brought to the river by UP Projects and is set to explore our relationship with outer space, delving into future worlds and utopias.
They'll be putting on screenings of artist Shezad Dawood’s 2013 film Piercing Brightness along with sci-fi cult classics The Day The Earth Stood Still and Flash Gordon, all shown to you from the back of a boat. The programme weaves between the absurd and the factual to create an immersive space odyssey packed full of conspiracy theories, alien invasions, cutting-edge science and future hopes and dreams.
