Ballantine’s and Boiler Room will distribute grants to 20 community-driven collectives
Boiler Room and Ballantine's will be distributing £5,000 grants as part of an initiative to help support music culture and creative communities.
Scotch whisky brand Ballantine's – who drive the True Music project with Boiler Room – have committed a six-figure fund in the form of 20 grants which will be distributed to 20 community-driven collectives who are participating in Boiler Room’s recently launched 'Streaming From Isolation' series. Each collective will distribute the grants as they feel best to support those most in need within their immediate community.
Each week Boiler Room will stream takeovers featuring live performances and sets programmed by these collectives from self-isolation. The first collective will be announced and streamed this Wednesday, with a new collective announced each week, both on Ballantine’s and Boiler Room’s channels.
This will be the first immediate action from Boiler Room and Ballantines, however they will be working together to explore further ways to support music communities in the months ahead.
