Arty Stuff
With all the intricate, detailed and, in all honesty, pretentious names for art exhibitions that are floating around at the moment, it is really refreshing to see that Tony Baker has gone back to basics by calling his latest offering Arty Stuff.
Being exhibited in Leeds from now until March 15th at The Northern Monk Refectory, Baker's artwork is based upon the notion that ‘there is no such thing as art – there are only artists’ – an idea taken from the opening sentence of E H Gombrich’s The Story of Art. His exhibition contains a selection of visual delights in various forms and it's well worth having a gander if you find yourself in Leeds this month.
