The Social announces shows with Andy Bell, Lady Passion, Salomé Wu and more
The Soho venue is going full throttle over the coming months with a number of key shows set to take place in the Central London basement as summer approaches.
The Social has announced a series of upcoming dates featuring a broad array of musicians and artists from across the breadth of underground and leftfield music in April and May. The Central London venue is injecting a lease of life to the streets of Soho with a number of upcoming gigs and club nights and is set for a big Spring.
Key dates include the 27th of April when South London musician Salomé Wu will bring her cinematic, orchestral ballads to the basement for an exclusive performance. She will play alongside Slow Dance affiliate Thyrsis.
On the 28th of April The Social will host a special club residency inviting two renowned selectors to soundtrack proceedings. NTS resident Toshiki Ohta will play alongside one of London’s most exciting upcoming prospects, Lady Passion, who has recently performed on the likes of Boiler Room, Keep Hush, Ministry Of Sound & Rinse FM.
Elsewhere Halo Maud will bring her psychedelic approach to experimental pop to the venue following recent outings on Heavenly Recordings making this a family affair. She will perform on the 2nd of May with the promise of new music incoming and set to be teased.
Ransom Note’s sub label Bytes is well associated and connected with Andy Bell, the prolific pioneer behind cult group Ride. He will perform an exclusive live set alongside Masal following the release of his new album on Sonic Cathedral. Catch him on the 21st of May.
