The Autumn's starting to look a little less dreary now that Simple Things Festival have announced their first wave of acts.
There will be two nights organised by Simple Things to look forward to in October. The first night, happening 23rd October at Colston Hall, will be the Opening Concert where Godspeed You! Black Emperor will be playing their orchestral post-rock-isms.
The very next day will see the start of the official festival in various venues around Bristol. Live acts announced for the festival so far include Battles (who will be headlining the main festival bill), Wire, Penguin Cafe, Factory Floor, Dean Blunt, Lone, DJ Funk, Romare, Speedy Ortiz, Liturgy, Lower Dens, Nicole Willis & The Soul Invesigators, Chastity Belt, Long Arm, Grumbling Fur, Loyle Carner and Danny L Harle.
DJ-wise Simple Things have a diverse group lined up, including Ron Trent, Objekt, Helena Hauff, nd_baumecker, Mike Skinner, Barnt, Avalon Emerson and Discodromo.
With still more artists to be announced including further headliners, keep your eyes peeled!
